Laser spot tracking
The aim of the first demonstration application is to track a green laser pointer spot on the wall. The camera system algorythm detects the position of the spot in the image and gives to the mechanism control system a command for a new mirror position so that the tracked spot is still in the image center. The detection itself is based on known colour and shape of the laser spot.
For visualization of the camera view direction the mechanism is equiped by red laser. It's beam is parallel with the camera. It is reflected by the mirror and projected on the wall. The user can observe the dynamics of the system directly on the wall, as the green spot of the laser pointer is followed by the red spot defining direction of camera view.
